Accenture will provide The Paley Center for Media with services to restore, digitize and archive highlights of the video collection of American broadcast journalist Barbara Walters. The announcement was made yesterday at Accenture's Women's Leadership Forum, which was held at The Paley Center for Media in New York and attended by nearly 100 women leaders in the communications, high-tech and media industries.
Selected highlights of the collection will chronicle 30 years of journalistic history, which span Walters' broadcast career and include exclusive newsreel and related footage from her private collection. Walters' career includes hosting the television programs Today and The View. She has also been a host of television news magazine 20/20, co-anchor of the ABC Evening News, and a correspondent on ABC World News.
Origin Digital, an Accenture company, will manage the conversion process and create high-quality master files in the various formats that will be used to showcase the collection to the public.
